Dr. Joe Parcell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He serves in the role of Director of the Missouri Value Added Program. He has been involved with the economic, financial, and market assessment for many value added business entities.  

Dr. Parcell is a graduate of the Graduate Institute of Cooperative Learning. He has served as state and federal reviewer for the USDA producer value added grant program, and he has reviewed and been a panel member for SBIR phase I and II proposals.

Dr. Parcell’s research involves price analysis, marketing, and assessing value drivers in the supply chain. He is the author of one book (The Agricultural Marketing System, 6th ed.), over 30 journal articles, and numerous publications and technical bulletins related to various areas of agriculture.
